Grimaldi Group’s Career Award to Hans Ahola

Hans Ahola, Ahola Group’s Chairman of the Board, received the Grimaldi Group’s Career Award in October 2024.  

Grimaldi Group’s Career Award celebrates individuals who have made long-term contributions to the success and growth of the industry, often highlighting leadership, innovation, and a dedication to excellence.

Grimaldi Group is a maritime company based in Italy, specializing in roll-on/roll-off transport, both for freight and passengers. It operates across Europe, the Mediterranean, and other global routes. Grimaldi Group owns Finnlines, a Finnish shipping company.

Hans Ahola warmly accepted the award and sent his best wishes to the whole Grimaldi Group and Emanuele and Guido Grimaldi with their families.

– It is a great honor to be recognized with the Career Award from the Grimaldi family. I wish all the best for the Grimaldi Group, says Ahola.

The three elements forming the sculpture are the siren Parthenope affording protection to seafarers and the city of Naples; the hull of a ship born from the siren’s tail, representing Grimaldi’s core business activity; and a globe, this being the Shipping Company’s sphere of Action.
