Expansion brought new opportunities– Jyväskylä office opens doors to Central Europe
Ahola Special opened a new office in Jyväskylä at the beginning of February, significantly expanding its operating area and service offering. With the new team, we are better equipped to serve our customers in Central European transportation and offer expert consultation on challenging transport routes.
“Incorporating the Jyväskylä team into our group marked the next logical step in the growth of our company. Their strong expertise in the European market and experience in project management give us new opportunities,” says Jonas Ahola, the CEO of Ahola Special.
With the new team, we can now offer technical project consultation as well as transport and route planning. The Jyväskylä team is comprised of four pivotal members, each offering profound expertise, particularly in the execution of complex projects.
“With the growth of wind power, our capacity had been stretched to its limits. The addition of new team members has been an excellent enhancement and expansion to our operations,” Ahola continues.
As a basic transport company, we have now strengthened our network and are able to offer our customers even more diverse solutions. Our geographical coverage and our own fleet enable flexible and safe transportation throughout Europe.
“This autumn, for example, we are transporting paper machine parts with our own fleet to England. This is just one example of how the expansion of transportation in Europe is reflected in Ahola’s operations,” says Sales manager Mikko Lietosaari from the Jyväskylä team.
Our engineering services at Ahola mean, among other things, comprehensive route planning of routes, construction sites and other sites. With CAD assistance, we can 3D laser scan route sections and precisely plan the necessary route changes. This allows us to provide our customers with a comprehensive view of how to transport in the best and most environmentally friendly way possible with minimal route modifications.
“The involvement of the Jyväskylä team is a step towards the overall optimization of the service. By participating in the project planning phase, we can offer our customer comprehensive optimization and thus significant savings,” Jonas Ahola explains.
With our expansion, we have grown into a significant player in the field of specialized transportation in the Nordic countries. In the future, we will focus on continuing our development work and monitoring changes in the market so that we can respond to them quickly and effectively. The involvement of the Jyväskylä team has been a significant step in this direction, and we look forward to seeing what the future holds.
